Ricoh SA will again attend Africa Print at the Sandton Convention Centre from 21 to 23 August, where it will show and demonstrate its newest member of the production fleet, the latest wide format, graphic arts production, entry-level production, and production workflow equipment and solutions.
The company will also host several technology and solution sessions where experts will discuss software-based business solutions for graphic arts and commercial printers, production workflow solutions for improving efficiencies and customer service, and also discuss the application of some of the new products.

Ricoh SA’s stand will be at D9 to D20 in Hall 1.

“Our new heavy-duty production device competes at the very top-end of the market with the duty cycle expanded from 1,9-million to 3-million while operating at the same speed,” says Vaughan Patterson, sales manager for the production printing business group at Ricoh SA.
“The market for that range of equipment is expanding in South Africa at the moment and we expect to see a lot of interest from attendees.”

The new Pro C5100 entry-level production device will also be unveiled at the show. It is specifically suited to processing smaller, more diverse jobs quickly. It incorporates Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser (VCSEL) for better image quality, giving it 4 800dpi, and uses toner with a low melting point to conserve energy.

It supports media up to 300gsm and sizes up to SRA3++, volumes up to 150 000 per month, and pushes out material at 65 colour A4 pages a minute or 80 mono.

Other products Ricoh SA will display include the four-colour, wide format MPCW2200 that was unveiled at the Durban Africa Print and is designed to address the CAD market. It uses a Liquid Gel ink that makes it less costly and suitable for a wide range of industries from architectural to manufacturing, engineering, construction, planning authorities and product design.

The company will also demonstrate the Pro C901 Graphic Arts + with its robust engine, wide media versatility, professional inline finishing options, EFI Fiery print controllers for better colour, and job management tools for handling document assembly and VDP workflows with aplomb.
