Acer Africa has confirmed senior executive changes, with Hans Swart to leave the company and David Drummond to take the reins, as reported in IT-Online last week.

According to a company statement, after careful consideration, Swart has made the decision to pursue his next career opportunity outside Acer. During his tenure with Acer, Swart significantly contributed to the
success of the company that is today one of the IT market leaders in southern Africa.

David Drummond will take up the position of country manager for Acer Southern Africa, effective 1 October 2013. Drummond has a long standing history with Acer and is a highly respected manager in the industry. He
brings in-depth leadership from sales, expertise on the business in the region and a wealth of customer relationships.

“David will make an excellent addition to our local team and I am confident that we can further position the Acer portfolio as premium devices whilst continuing to strengthen our brand as leaders in the market,” says
Amin Mortazavi, VP of Acer Middle East and Africa.
