The Spinlet platform aims to make music mobile, accessible and affordable – plus musicians will have the opportunity to earn money.
The new platform will launch in South Africa with a fully integrated download site (with the streaming app following by the end of year) and has already signed artists such as AKA and Youngsta.
In Nigeria, where it has been operational for some time, it is attracting major artists such as AfroBeat musician Dr Victor Olaiya and hip hop artist Ice Prince, who have both chosen to launch new singles on the platform.
Spinlet shares revenue with artists so it’s an attractive proposition for emerging talent as well.
