Veteran IT journalist Axel Bührmann has signed on as the new executive editor of BusinessIT.10429451_10152134222882693_7756681890779277015_n

With more than 30 years’ experience in the field, Bührmann has edited a number of publications, including PC Magazine Southern Africa, Charged Southern Africa, LivDigital and, most recently, Brainstorm.

BusinessIT has been talking to 22 000 CIOs and C-suite executives for the last 17 years, and Bührmann has taken on the challenge of relaunching and modernising the magazine.

“We’re thrilled to have an editor of Axel’s calibre and experience on board,” says Future Wave Media publisher Kathy Gibson. “We’re sure he’s going to breathe new life into BusinessIT and see it positioned as one of the leading resources in the IT industry.”

BusinessIT publishes as a print magazine as well as an e-book, and Bührmann will further develop the brand in the online and social media space, where he is considered one of the top influencers.

“As the third wave of corporate computing is changing the way CIOs and business interact, I think the timing is perfect for a publication that focuses on how to bring the ICT and business together in the enterprise. We intend for BusinessIT to become a reference point for C-suite decision-makers.”
