Rectron has expanded its offering by announcing its partnership with Taiwanese manufacturer BenQ, and unveiling several new display monitors and projectors designed to meet a variety of consumer needs.

“We are very excited about partnering with BenQ, true leaders in the electronics, computing and communications devices industry. We are very positive about the expected uptake of the high-end products that we are bringing into the local market,” says Spencer Chen, product director, at Rectron.

Developed in collaboration with professional gamers, the 27-inch XL2720Z LED display eliminates flickering and reduces eye fatigue. It features the new BenQ Motion Blur Reduction technology to provide an ultra-smooth gaming experience making it ideal for first-person shooter titles where every millisecond counts.

“With a response time of 1ms and refresh rate of 144Hz, gamers can rest assured that the XL2720Z will give them the competitive advantage they need in fast-paced games. Its Black eQualizer colour engine technology means that dark scenes are brightened without over-exposing the bright areas so gamers can spot their enemies easily and react according to any situation,” says Francois Rheeders, product manager at Rectron.

The 27-inch EW2740L features a Mobile High-Definition Link (MHL) connection that ensures flawless streaming from compatible mobile devices. This means that tablet and smartphone users can browse Web sites, watch videos, and play games on a crystal-clear 27-inch display without ever having to switch their computers on.

“With its beautiful slim bezel and elegant lines, the monitor can operate as your primary display in nearly any space for either home entertainment or office work. What makes it perfect for mobile devices is the fact that the display simulates high-resolution images by boosting the pixel density of the original video source so you get the most detail possible on the screen,” adds Rheeders.

On the projector side, Rectron has announced the MH680 that features a full High-Definition native resolution, a brightness of 3000 ANSI lumens, and a high contrast ratio of 10000:1. This makes it perfectly positioned to provide businesses with stunning full-screen presentation with the finest details regardless of ambient light.

The MH680 also features wireless support so users can insert a WiFi dongle into the USB flash drive slot to display contents from any PC, Mac, or mobile device.

“The USB Drive Display makes it ideal for classrooms so teachers can save the files they need onto a USB flash drive and insert it in the MH680 to start teaching. This is really a powerful feature that schools can benefit from to further enhance the education experience,” says Michael Chi, Country Manager at BenQ.

The final product announced is the MW665 projector. It is ideal for presentations in small to medium-sized rooms. The projector supports WXGA resolution with 3200 ANSI Lumens and a 13000:1 high contrast ratio. It supports the QPresenter Pro software that provides for wireless projection from smart devices across all platforms. This is done by connecting the projector to a wireless dongle and linking the device to the projector via Wireless Display.

“The software and app can project various document formats including PDF, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and a number of image files. This means that there is no need to carry around a hefty laptop when a tablet or smartphone can just as easily be used for making powerful business presentations,” says Chi.

All four products are available immediately.
