South Africans woke up this morning to the discovery that Facebook and Instagram have crashed – and they’ve turned to Twitter to talk about it.
With #facebookdown trending on Twitter, users took to the social media platform to share their frustration, and often humour.
The site is working intermittently now, but there’s been no word from Facebook itself as to what caused the outage.
Downdetector.com reported that the site was down across most of the world, including South Africa, for about two-and-a-half hours.
Instagram still appears to be down at this time.
