Mustek has been appointed as the distribution partner of Lenovo’s ThinkServer and storage range for South Africa.

The addition of the Lenovo ThinkServer and Storage range to Mustek’s portfolio positions it as a go-to distributor for Lenovo products including its notebooks, desktops, tablets and monitors.

Hein Engelbrecht, MD of Mustek, says he’s excited to extend the company Lenovo offering and especially to move into the big data space. “Big data remains a buzzword in the industry and will be a focus area for Mustek Limited over the next period, as we believe it is key to optimal client retention and procurement.”

Mustek’s stated goal is to become the South African distributor of choice, and Engelbrecht says the Lenovo distribution is a significant step.

“Our position in the South African market has been built on a commitment to customer satisfaction, the development of some of the most sought-after relationships in the ICT market and adherence to stringent international quality standards and benchmarks. Our partnership with Lenovo is not only a result of this, but also builds on our value proposition.”

Lee Allcorn, enterprise business group leader at Lenovo MEA, comments: “Lenovo is well positioned as a strong global contender in the enterprise and SMB market, offering customers complete end-to-end solutions, including storage, server, networking, and related software and services.

“The launch of ThinkServer in South Africa is a testament to our commitment to our clients in the country who desire exceptional performance, reliability, and easy-to-use tools and solutions.”

He adds: “There are no direct competing products to the Lenovo ThinkServer range in the current Mustek Limited brand portfolio. This means that our products will get the focus they need for us to grow our market share. Mustek’s logistics capability; national coverage; stocking and go to market plans; resources, service and support; and extensive experience made our choice an easy one.”
