Dimension Data has announced that it has been awarded the prestigious Oracle Platinum Partner certification. This is the second highest level of recognition that can be attained by companies who are part of Oracle’s partner network.
Achieving Platinum level recognises the importance that Dimension Data places in providing quality Oracle services to the marketplace. This is a measurement that distinguishes Dimension Data from many other Oracle partners in Middle East and Africa, and it demonstrates to clients, customers, partners and competitors that Dimension Data is continuing to invest money and time in being the best qualified in the provision of Oracle products and services.

According to Donovan Lawrence, Application Services executive at Dimension Data Middle East and Africa: “The recognition means that Dimension Data’ clients can be assured that our employees are continuously striving to grow their Oracle skills and achieve official recognition by Oracle that they are certified in a particular product or service, or multiple products and services. It is a fundamental principle of Dimension Data that all of our Oracle specialist will have been officially recognised by Oracle as having achieved personal certifications in their field of expertise.”

Oracle partners are required to achieve specialisation in the company’s products and solutions to improve their partner level. To achieve specialisation in a particular product or solution requires significant investment in time and effort from multiple people within the organisation. It also requires clients to attest to the fact that we have successfully provided these products and services to them. Platinum level requires a partner to have achieved at least five specialisations.

The Oracle Partner programme is designed to assist the organisation’s partners to improve their skills, service delivery and product knowledge of the many Oracle products and services available. The more partners invest in training and service delivery, and as the partner’s track record grows over a period of time, a partner will be able to improve their partner level.

The entry level, a default given to all partners that join the programme is Silver. A partner can move to Gold, the next step, quite easily and quickly by demonstrating a willingness and ability to train their staff to sell and implement Oracle solutions. The next level, Platinum, is much more difficult and onerous to achieve, and distinguishes the partner as one very serious about building a large and sustainable Oracle business. The ultimate level, Diamond, is extremely difficult to achieve, and only the very large global players achieve this.
