Small to medium businesses (SMBs) can now take advantage of enterprise-class networking control combined with consumer-like ease of use with the Dell Networking X-Series from distributor Drive Control Corporation (DCC).
This family of smart, managed 1 Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) and 10GbE Ethernet switches are ideal for a variety of deployments, with a number of models featuring different port counts and Power over Ethernet (PoE) options. With an intuitive Graphic User Interface (GUI) and hardware design, they are easy to set up and simple to manage, providing practical innovation for small networks.

“SMBs today have the same technology requirements as their larger counterparts, but often do not have the budget or IT resources to deploy enterprise-class solutions. The Dell Networking X-Series offers enterprise features and functionality while being easy to implement and maintain, ideal for SMB environments. They are optimised for cloud and onsite networking applications, and are available in a variety of models to enable users to deploy the solution they need with ease,” says Jaco Erasmus, Dell Enterprise Division Manager at DCC.

The Dell Networking X-Series is a Layer 2+ 1GbE and 10GbE switch family with optional Power over Ethernet (PoE/PoE+) support. It offers an elegant interface with app-like functionality to improve ease of use for SMBs, with simple navigation and workflows. In addition, familiar commands and alerts similar to those found on PCs and servers enhance intuitive operations. Various PoE options enable users to connect, auto-configure, and power Voice over IP (VoIP) phones and wireless access points, while streamlined tools, step-by-step wizards and a concise, informative dashboard make switch configuration
and calibration fast and accurate.

The X-Series also offers unmatched traffic visibility and real-time control, enabling SMBs to optimise cloud services and onsite network applications
with security and traffic priority features. A unique multi-port selection for batch routines plus port profiles for common devices eliminate extra steps and configuration errors. In addition, the X-Series is also energy efficient, and features a locking plug and console port to ensure the console is secure from tampering.
Available models include: a compact, fan-less 1GbE 8-port switch; a 1GbE 8-port PoE-powered compact design for flexible
office placement (non-PoE model); half rack width 26- and 18-port switches with two 1GbE Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP) uplink ports; rack width 52-port switches with four 10GbE SFP+ uplink ports; and a 10GbE 12-port model for high-speed server and storage connect, or network aggregation.
