Esquire signs up with Optoma EMEA

Esquire Technologies, one of the leading distributors in southern Africa of IT, mobility, digital and consumer lifestyle products, has signed a strategic distribution agreement with Optoma to distribute its range of DLP projectors range in southern African.

Agar Mahomed, MD of Esquire Technologies said the agreement will help strengthen the Optoma brand and create a new market presence with fast and easy access to inventory at locations across the country for the channel in this region.

“The company is delighted to have forged this new partnership which has been in the pipeline for a few months. Optoma is a world leading designer and manufacturer of projection and sound products, with an impressive range of projectors from entry level to high installation projectors for a number of environments such as education, corporate boardrooms and home entertainment. This is a perfect fit with the digital lifestyle segment of our business – and roster of world class brands.

“We are extremely pleased to bring these products to the southern Africa region as we share the same vision and synergy as Optoma and expect to see solid growth going forward in the next few months”, Mahomed said.

Esquire understands the local market and has an impressive business model such as the Virtual Reseller Network (VRN), the award-winning Xpress Stores in major cities. Additionally, it has well over 14000 Small to Medium Enterprise( SME) clients and Valued Added Resellers(VAR’s) in South Africa and neighbouring countries such as Angola , Namibia, Botswana, Swaziland and Mozambique – which is hugely significant to build up the brand in a short space of time, enabling Optoma to broaden its reach.
