ESET has launched a Beta version of its new ESET Parental Control for Android app. As a thank you to all Beta testers, ESET is offering free access to the app’s security features such as Web Guard or Time Management for six months at no cost.
According to the Ofcom Report on Internet Safety Measure published in January 2015, there has been a significant increase in access to, ownership of and use of tablet computers by children of all ages since 2013. Many older children also own smartphones (20% of 8 to 11 year-olds and 65% of 12 to 15 year-olds) and among 12 to 15 year-olds, this is the device they would most miss.
ESET Parental Control app for Android has been designed to provide parents the confidence to safeguard children on smart devices by giving them protection, user experience and performance through a number of free and premium features.  ESET’s next job  is to protect families against online threats, so they can enjoy the wealth of information and entertainment available online.
ESET Parental Control for Android is a child-friendly all-in-one family protection system which helps parents to build a respectful relationship with their kids who use their own smartphones or tablets. * Application Guard: blocks inappropriate content based on the child’s age by default.
* Time Management: allows parents to limit the time their child spends playing games and other apps, even when the child is away from the home.
* Web Guard: blocks internet threats by checking websites against ESET’s databases.
* Child Locator: allows parents to request the current location of their child at any time.
