A new family of Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise Gigabit Ethernet switches is being introduced to help small-medium businesses (SMBs) adapt to modern communication systems and technology.

The new switches address key SMB IT issues and priorities.

According to a 2015 techaisle survey, the top 10 SMB business issues, IT priorities and IT challenges for 2015 include:

* Mobility;

* Collaboration;

* Internet of things (IoT); and

* Converged infrastructure.

The new Alcatel-Lucent OmniSwitch6350 Switch family is a series of fixed configuration and managed Gigabit Ethernet switches available in 24 or 48 ports, with or without PoE/PoE+, to create the exact network for any small business.

Business partners can offer SMBs a complete communication system combining IP networking, mobility and IP telephony solutions, when installed with OmniPCX® Office Rich Communication Edition platform, IP telephones and phone apps, and OmniAccess® Instant 802.11n or 802.11ac Access Points.

When combined with OmniPCX Office, the OmniSwitch 6350 can be auto-configured to simplify installation and configuration, while adding access points only takes a few minutes. This delivers a lab tested and field proven, gigabit converged voice/data/Wi-Fi® turn-key solution for SMBs, providing enterprise class network performance, at the value SMBs desire.
