Samsung Electronics South Africa announced its new Xpress C430 and C480 series of colour printers and multi-function printers.
The series include 430W single-function colour printers, 480W multi-function printers that can print, copy, scan and C480FW 4-in-1 MFPs with additional faxing capability. Designed for small-office and home-office (SOHO) users who look for efficiency and depend on mobile devices, these printers come with features such as scan-to-email and mobile printing support.
“The new series is perfect for today’s mobile world and underscores our commitment to small-office and home-offices, which are around 70% of all users with a high average monthly print volume. We are ready to meet the growing demand from businesses for products and solutions that boost their productivity and reduce their long term costs,” said Mike van Lier, Director of the Enterprise Business Division (EBD) at Samsung Electronics South Africa.
The key features of the Xpress C430 and C480 series include:
* Easy installation – Initial printer installation is simplified for SOHO users that don’t have access to an IT administrator. Samsung Printer Software Installer connects the printer driver wirelessly without the need for a USB stick or CD drive.
* Scan-to-email and mobile printing – The scan-to-email function is now a standard native feature of the C430/C480 series. Mobile printing has also been made simple and intuitive due to NFC and cloud technologies. Users can print, scan, and fax by tapping their NFC-enabled mobile devices on the printer or by using the Samsung Mobile Print app. With the Mobile Print app, users are able to save scanned documents directly to the phone. Furthermore, the printers in the series are compatible with cloud printing services such as Samsung Cloud Print.
* Fast speed and high-quality printing – The printers in the C430 and C480 range have 400MHz and 800 MHz core processors respectively and can print 18 pages per minute (ppm) in mono and 4 pages per minute (ppm) in colour. The Xpress C430/C480 series support an enhanced resolution of up to 2,400 x 600 dots per inch (dpi). Samsung’s unique rendering engine technology sharpens text and boosts image clarity.
* Long-term cost saving – The series has eco-friendly features such as the One Touch Eco Button and the Easy Eco Driver. With these features, changing the print settings on a document-by-document basis, is made easy – for instance by un-bolding text or printing only the text in a document that contains both text and images. These features are expected to save long term cost, by reducing toner usage by up to 20%.
