The Federal High Court in Lagos, Nigeria has adjourned the matter of MTN versus the Nigerian Communications Commission(NCC).

The judge adjourned the matter to 18 March 2016 in order to enable the parties to try and settle the matter. If the parties are unable to

reach a settlement the matter will then proceed on that date.

MTN took to the courts to challenge the $3,9-billion fine levied by the NCC.

The fine, which was originally $5,2-billion, or $200 000.00 for each unsubscribed user, was NCC’s right to impose such a fine.
