In a hotly-contested battle, AxizWorkgroup has been named as South Africa’s Distributor of the Year in the Channelwise Awards Enterprise survey – narrowly pipping second-placed Tarsus to the post.
Other finalists in the survey were Drive Control, Pinnacle Africa and Mustek.
The Enterprise award polled enterprise VARs, asking them to name their favourite vendors and distributors.
AxizWorkgroup won top honours in the End User Computing section of the survey as well as in the Software section.
Tarsus scooped top honours in the Printers, Peripherals and Consumables section and in the Servers, Storage and Networking section.
The overall rankings saw AxizWorkgroup taking the top position with 26% of the vote, Tarsus hot on its heels with 25% of the vote.
Other Enterprise survey Distributor of the Year finalists were Drive Control, Pinnacle and Mustek.
“Importantly, resellers were asked to rate their favourite distributors according to criteria that make their lives easier,” says Channelwise publisher Kathy Gibson. “Distributors can therefore see what they are doing right or wrong, according to their resellers, and fine-tune their offerings accordingly.”
The criteria used to rate distributors are: ease of doing business; stockholding, logistics and delivery; credit availability; and channel programme.
