Printing remains essential, and maximising productivity while minimising fuss is imperative. The new Canon multifunction printer range from distributor Drive Control Corporation (DCC) offers a number of enhancements aimed at achieving just this.
With a variety of networking options, easy mobile print and intuitive operation, these new features will simplify printing for any home, office or even retail environment.
“The entire Canon MF range has been upgraded with new features and enhancements, including the ability to print via WiFi, Ethernet, mobile and even the cloud. Usability has also been improved with intuitive touch screen capabilities and Quick First Print. In addition, the printers now support two-sided printing, scanning and copying for even more productivity boosting,” says Heinrich Pretorius, Canon product specialist at DCC.
Canon multifunction printers are compact and stylish, combining print, scan, copy and fax on certain models, and now include seamless connect and share capabilities via wireless and wired as well as mobile. Apple AirPrint and Mopria support allow users to easily print directly  from their iPhone, iPad or Mopria-certified mobile devices, while the free Canon Mobile Printing app allows for wireless printing from any Apple iOS or Android device. Quick First Print technology ensures that the first page is out speedily, even from sleep mode, and fast mono laser print and copy speeds ensure optimal productivity and minimal waiting time.
High-resolution prints, combined with Canon’s exclusive EF toner, ensure professional quality prints first time every time. The EF cartridges are also easy to recycle, combining toner, drum and cleaning units to reduce maintenance, increase reliability and minimise consumables. In addition, enhanced colour scanning of up to 9600×9600 dots per inch ensures that every detail is captured from original documents. Scans can be sent directly to any PC with network scanning, and a two-sided automatic document feeder enables quick and efficient multi-page scanning.
Furthermore, a new firmware upgrade available on all Canon MF printers enables Google Cloud Print, which allows you to connect printers to the web and print from everyday applications on your phone, tablet or PC wherever you happen to be. In fact, Google Cloud Print supports just about any web-connected device, opening up a host of new productivity possibilities.
“The Canon MF printers also now feature quick, simple and quiet operation, with intuitive touch screens, efficient scanning and copying workflows, simple setup and Quiet Mode for less noisy printing. With market leading energy efficiency and energy consumption as low as 1.7 Watts in sleep mode, these printers are the ideal productivity companion for just about any environment,” Pretorius concludes.
