Drive Control Corporation (DCC) has launched the gaming-centric Dell Inspiron 15 7559 laptop, also known as the “Pandora”, in South Africa.
“Gamers know that performance usually comes at a hefty price,” says Terence Narayanan, Dell consumer product specialist at DCC, “and for this reason there has not been a budget gaming laptop, until now.
“The Dell Inspiron 15 7559 is bigger and somewhat bulkier than the flagship XPS 15, but its features and lower price make it a clever choice for those looking for a mobile gaming experience that won’t break the bank,” he says.
The basic model starts with features that will earn a gamers’ respect, including the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M 4GB performance-class graphics card and Core i5-6300HQ Skylake processor with 4GB GDDR5 discrete memory.  This translates into a graphics driving force that delivers high frame-per-second rates in games and accelerates the tasks of video editing and transcoding.
“Furthermore, it’s a simple, inexpensive matter to add an SSD drive, double the RAM, and still not break the bank. Additionally, serial upgraders will be pleased to know that the entire back panel comes off with a single screw,” explains Narayanan.
Delivering optimum performance, the Inspiron 15 7559 makes use of an optimised cooling design that handles the processors and graphics heat output using two cooling fans, three exhausts and large vents with 240 thermal fins.
This means the user is guaranteed uninterrupted gaming and smooth streaming with a cooled system and, with 6th Gen Intel i5 and i7 Quad-Core processors, users will have all the power necessary to enjoy both gaming and entertainment, while staying cool.
“These notebooks are primed to play and consumers can choose from multiple hard drive options, including a 1TB HDD dual drive and a 128GB solid-state drive for plenty of storage, stability and responsive performance. In light of a marathon battery life provided by a 6-cell 74Whr battery, this is a laptop that can do it all,” he notes.
“Users will love the FHD anti-glare IPS wide angle display (1920×1080), and will be able to immerse themselves in the superior sound experience offered by Waves MaxxAudio Pro – studio-quality processing software enhances the listening experience that is delivered through and Dell-designed performance speakers and a built-in subwoofer.”
The Dell Inspiron 15 7559 is immediately available from DCC.
