Khonology’s CEO Michael Roberts is overwhelmed by this achievement that showcases Khonology’s key and driving mandate to transform clients and Africa’s people. “Our people have driven the brand to reach these heights, the TT100 awards recognise our people’s hard work and emphasise that Africa can be the change it wants to be.
“Our passion to find solutions for technology and capacity challenges inspires us to continuously innovate to empower Africa,” he adds.
Roberts was also recently named the 2016 Job Creator of the Year at the Entrepreneur of the Year competition that was sponsored by Sanlam and Business Partners.
The TT100 Programme was established to identify and reward local companies that stand out for their excellence in the management of technology, people, systems, research and sustainability.
The programme exemplifies those who through passion, perseverance and a highly developed sense of innovation, have defied all odds, and have become recognised as significant players in the global economy. These organisations are recognised as sustainable, high-performance operations.
At the awards ceremony, the Minister of Science and Technology Naledi Pandor gave a strongly motivational speech about innovation and technology. She said the highly regarded awards have become the cornerstone platform to recognise South Africa’s technology and innovative hubs.
Professor Marcus also spoke about the ‘story behind the story’ and about identifying role models who, in spite of trying times, have driven their organisation to greater heights.
“TT100 is focused on identifying true industry leaders who through innovation, tenacity and a belief in people, have been able to take their organisations to new levels of competitiveness. The programme seeks to identify role models within the management of innovation and technology domains who have demonstrated their excellence in co-creating new workplace realities,” he concludes.
