Top-performing matriculants from across the country are being sponsored with laptops and data as part of a joint initiative by the MTN SA Foundation and the Department of Education.
MTN SA Foundation will give a total of 100 laptops, 10 in each province. Additionally 10 are being provided to learners with special needs across the country.
Says Kusile Mtunzi-Hairwadzi, GM of the MTN SA Foundation: “MTN is encouraged by the improved matric results and the tenacity shown by the learners, many have studied under challenging circumstances. Awarding these laptops is testament to the meaningful contribution that MTN SA Foundation has made in the last 15 years.”
MTN SA Foundation is committed to working in partnership with the Government to support initiatives aimed at enhancing teaching and learning in schools.
MTN SA has a Graduate Internship Programme where students studying mathematics, science, accounting and marketing are provided with internship to get the much needed on-the-job training. Some of these interns have become part of the MTN family.

We will continue to contribute positively to the development of a cadre of learners that will contribute to the growth and development of our economy,” says Mtunzi-Hairwadzi.
