Lycamobile, the world’s largest mobile virtual network operator (MVNO), has partnered with Cell C to start rolling out its low-cost calling, texting and data services in South Africa.
This development expands Lycamobile’s global network reach to 23 countries worldwide and marks the firm’s first launch in sub-Saharan Africa.
Telecommunications is a fast-growing sector of South Africa’s economy, with approximately 85-million unique cellular subscriptions, giving Lycamobile the opportunity to expand its offering to a large and active customer base with excellent growth potential.
