Pinnacle Africa has signed up to the Microsoft Full Packaged Product (FPP) Commercial Contract, which appoints it as an authorised distributor of Microsoft FPP products and hardware accessories in South Africa.
The addition of the Microsoft FPP expands and bolsters Pinnacle Africa’s current Microsoft portfolio which includes a Direct OEM (DOEM) contract for its Proline Windows devices, and a Commercial OEM (also referred to as DSP) distribution agreement for client and server operating systems. The company will now be able to make both software and hardware FPP products available to its resellers.
“This is a significant announcement for our partners because qualifying purchases of Microsoft FPP will be recognised under relevant Microsoft programmes allowing resellers to claim rebates on their purchases,” says Kavitha Glenister, software, peripherals and printing brand executive at Pinnacle Africa.
“Our partners will also be able to take advantage of additional value by way of more consistent stock availability and more competitive pricing. Pinnacle Africa also distributes a broad variety of brands which enables it to act as a one stop distribution solution directly resulting in an increased level of convenience for our resellers.”
The contract includes the distribution of PC accessories which include keyboards, mice, headsets, web cams, gaming controllers and more. This complements the current peripherals and accessories offering that Pinnacle Africa already has.
“The introduction of this portfolio extension continues to solidify the strong relationship we have with Pinnacle Africa,” says Colin Erasmus, OEM manager at Microsoft South Africa. “Channel and partner satisfaction is paramount to the success of Microsoft and this expansion to our distribution portfolio, will assist us in reaching many more resellers and open up new avenues, especially within the retail space.”
First stock of Microsoft FPP is immediately available from Pinnacle Africa and will be distributed from branches throughout South Africa.
