Huawei Technologies has stolen a march on its rivals by launching new smartphones that boast record display size and resolution. At CES, the company launched the Ascend D2 and Ascend Mate smartphones.
The Ascend D2 will boast a high-definition screen with 443 pixels per inch – rival phones are typically about 300 pixels per inch.
The Ascend Mate has a 6,1-inch display, making it the smartphone with the biggest screen in the world. Competitive devices are in the 5,5-inch range. The two new phones will go on sale in China during January and February and will roll out to other countries later on.
