Reports have surfaced today that Apple Computer may soon launch a low-cost version of its iPhone, taking on competitors in the Android market. Analysts have warned that Apple needs to compete in the low-cost market in order to address the vast population that simply cannot afford the product’s current pricing levels.
It is thought that the new phone could come in at about half the price of the current iPhone 5, and may be available as early as mid-year.
