South African specialist payment solutions provider, Stanchion is expanding its footprint into the Middle East and North Africa with the opening of new offices in Dubai.
The technology company is a respected player in the payment systems field, an environment that compels organisations to comply with the extensive requirements of the highly-regulated financial services sector as well as various international bodies concerned with security standards.
This reputation has seen the organisation contracted to advise on and implement solutions in multiple locations across the African continent including Mozambique, Botswana, Namibia, Tanzania, Zambia and Mauritius.
Stanchion has appointed Steve Kirrage, a well-known personality in the payment services industry stationed in Dubai, to lead the company’s new offices. Kirrage has spent over a decade with S1 Corporation, a banking software company acquired earlier this year by ACI payment systems. Most recently, Kirrage was based in Dubai as the company’s divisional general manager for the Middle East and India.
“In Kirrage we found an experienced and respected professional that has significant experience in the financial services sector in the Middle East, who shares our passion and vision. He easily integrated into Stanchion’s leadership team and we are confident that we have found the right person to lead our new office,” says company MD Graham Williams.
“In addition to its competitive solution portfolio, Stanchion has a strong skills base and a focus on innovation that constantly produces additional value for its customers. These are highly sought-after characteristics and will certainly attract the interest of the market-place,” adds Kirrage.
