$5,8-billion global company, Dimension Data, has signed a global partnership with AirWatch, the largest mobile device management provider and leader in mobile security.
The global availability of the solution has already been welcomed by a number of Dimension Data’s clients in South Africa and Europe who have cited the growing need for solutions to manage corporate and employee-owned mobile devices, protect corporate data, distribute enterprise applications, and secure mobile access to corporate documents.
Matthew Gyde, Dimension Data’s group GM: security solutions, says: “Dimension Data’s Enterprise Mobility Framework offers a 360-degree view of all the considerations for, and areas affected by, the move to mobility. Security remains one of the most critical considerations and, if not effectively managed, creates the biggest area of corporate risk.
“Given the multi-geography nature of Dimension Data and our clients, we needed a partner with a powerful technology platform that we could work with across all regions. What further sets AirWatch apart is its advanced API framework that allows for close integration with Dimension Data’s telecom expense management (TEM) offering, Xigo Enterprise, to deliver even greater value to our clients.”
“We recognised Dimension Data is a significant provider of security services to the market today. This, combined with its focus on providing clients with end-to-end mobility services around the world, makes the partnership a natural fit. Our ability to jointly address the needs of our respective clients represents a major opportunity for us,” says John Marshall, president and CEO of AirWatch.
