Leaders in IT education, and a wholly owned subsidiary of the JSE-listed Kelly Group, Torque IT has won two awards at the Red Hat Training Partner Conference, hosted in Istanbul in November, 2012.
Red Hat business unit manager for Torque IT, Mpho Makgoka, was present on the night to accept the following awards:
* Certified Training Partner of the Year FY12 (Middle East and Africa); and
* Fastest Growing Certified Training Partner FY12 (Europe, Middle East and Africa).
“Our comprehensive portfolio of authorised Red Hat training courses, certification examinations and personalised service, provides customers with various skills development, enablement and certification paths,” says Makgoka.
“This in turn caters to a wide variety of existing skills and certifications. Whether our clients require an accelerated transition from Solaris, or are Windows administrators seeking the corresponding Linux skills; our customised solutions ensure maximum return on their Red Hat Enterprise investment.”
Makgoka adds that Torque IT has invested aggressively in growing this particular portfolio, and guarantees that customers receive role-based training with an instructor who is certified with the highest Red Hat skills.
“The awarding of these two top accolades is testimony that Torque IT is the trusted brand for Red Hat skills and is the preferred training partner in southern Africa.”
Looking at the year ahead, and any new Red Hat portfolio developmental plans in the pipeline, Makgoka shares that the company has recently added the Virtualisation certification to its exciting training offering.
“Our aim is to encourage those clients planning or involved in Red Hat Enterprise Virtualisation to attend authorised training.”
Furthermore, Torque IT is also planning to add the data centre specialisation to its stable, as well as launch the first JBoss Administration certifications.
“We will continue to provide value to the outcomes of our clients. Whether it’s certification they require from Torque IT, or knowledge; we will certainly do our utmost to continue to offer the highest quality cutting-edge training solutions,” concludes Makgoka.
