Itec, one of South Africa’s top three office automation solution providers, has added new dealers in Maputo, Mozambique and eastern Pretoria to its fast-growing network of around 50 regional offices across southern Africa and the UK.
The new dealers form part of Itec’s strategy to grow its national presence to offer clients service wherever they are as well as to build the economies of scale and skills base to offer a holistic set of solutions to its growing customer base.
The first new dealer, located in Wapadrand, Pretoria, will trade under the Itec Technology Solutions brand and will offer clients an extensive range of office automation solutions. This well-established business has a 10-year track record and has joined the Itec fold to take advantage of the group’s extensive selection of products and solutions.
“We are excited to join the Itec Group because it offers us access to a complete range of products and services through a single point of contact. We no longer need to phone 10 different people to source the components of a complex solution for a client,” says dealer principle Chris Botha.

“The support we have received from the Itec team has been superb – far better than we have received from any other vendor or distributor in the office automation space in the past. Our new association with Itec will help us to grow our business vastly over the years to come.”
Itec Technology Solutions in Wapadrand will continue to focus on the education, telecoms, general corporate and outsourced print solutions markets under Botha’s leadership.
The Mozambique dealer, trading as Itec Solutions Mocambique, is focusing on the country’s fast-growing corporate market with special emphasis on multi-national, financial services and telecoms companies.  Dealer principle Allan Beaton says that the dealer will focus on bringing financed print solutions, backed up by excellent service, to Mozambique’s office automation market.
“Up until now, clients in Mozambique have not been able to access the same level of world-class service, the financing options and the wide range of products available to South African companies,” says Beaton.
“With Itec’s resources behind us, we will change that picture. We considered a number of South African office automation vendors as partners, but the Itec philosophy of providing solutions rather than dropping boxes resonated with us.”
Itec’s rental solutions – which turn office automation from a capital expense to an operating expense – will give Itec Solutions Mocambique a real competitive edge in a market with few financing options, he adds.
“Itec is pleased to add these established dealers to our network, both of them bringing extensive experience in the office automation space and strong client bases to the Itec fold,” says Ryan Miles, chief operating officer at Itec Group.
“We look forward to backing our new partners by offering them access to our full set of resources, including our national support infrastructure; an extensive choice of hardware solutions; and proprietary value-added software such as the Print Director print management solution and the Sentry remote monitoring and management tool.”
