Dimension Data, the $5,8-billion global ICT solutions and services provider, has announced that it has scooped two awards from Avaya, including Partner of the Year 2012. The accolades were presented to Dimension Data at Avaya’s annual PartnerConnect Conference held in Johannesburg last week.
Dimension Data was awarded Avaya Partner of the Year 2012 for the Middle East, Africa and Turkey region, as well as Avaya Network Implementation of the Year 2012 for work carried out on the Wits University campus.
“To win Avaya’s coveted Partner of the Year award for the third consecutive year is testimony to the investment Dimension Data ploughs into the Avaya relationship.
“This continued venture bodes well not only for the future of our relationship with Avaya, but more importantly, it augurs well for our clients who have invested in the partnership between Dimension Data and Avaya,” says Siva Pather, Dimension Data South Africa GM, Customer Interactive Solutions.
“We are extremely proud to have achieved these accolades from Avaya, which underscore the hard work and dedication shown by Dimension Data sales and support teams.
“We continue to guide and advise our clients who are interested in the seamless integration of video, voice and data communications as they aim to increase efficiency and enhance their competitive advantage,” says Michael Abendanon, Dimension Data South Africa GM, Network Integration and Converged Communications.
Avaya research shows that 62% of organisations in South Africa use video conferencing as a way to conduct meetings, while 40% of those companies surveyed have almost half of their workforce operating in a mobile environment.
“Avaya’s theme, The Time is Now, highlights the need for businesses to integrate video, voice and data communications into their customer interactions for increased efficiency and competitive advantage,” says Pather.
“Dimension Data provides a wealth of expertise and the necessary tools to ensure the successful rollout, implementation and support for specific industries implementing new solutions such as video collaboration, voice and data communications infrastructure,” says Selvin Kristnen, MD, Avaya South Africa.
“For over a decade, Avaya has empowered its channel and customers to address specific business opportunities in the region as organisations look for better customer care solutions, move toward cloud adoption, and increase collaboration across regional and international offices,” he says.
Avaya is recognised by Gartner, Frost & Sullivan and T3i Group as the global market share leader in several industry categories, including unified communications, unified messaging, contact centres and SME telephony systems.
