BlackBerry recently unveiled its BlackBerry 10 operating system and handset at the Sandton Convention Centre to guests, including enterprise customers and BlackBerry business partners.
The new platform has been tested by over 150 carriers worldwide, and BlackBerry has given more than 8 000 prototypes to application developers.

The man behind the Jan Braai App, Jan Scannell, describes the app: “It’s about braaing, and is as proudly South African as National Braai Day.”
He has driven the National Braai Day initiative from the beginning and it has the patronage of Nobel Peace Prize winner, Emeritus Archbishop Doctor Desmond Tutu.
With the Jan Braai App, people will be able to view recipes and demonstration videos by Jan, locate and rate butcheries in their vicinity, and see which butcheries Jan has visited and rated.
Table Magic is South Africa’s first restaurant search, review and instant booking Web site, established by Capetonian Kelly May.
It aims to revolutionise the way South Africans find restaurants and make bookings. May is excited to make her business concept mobile and is looking forward to South African’s finding it easier to interact with the service.
