Comztek, a leading distributor of high-value, high-demand, consumer and business technology products and solutions throughout South Africa and the African continent, has appointed Martin Kruger as its Samsung channel manger.
The appointment follows a recent announcement by the company that it has been appointed as the official distributor for the entire range of Samsung office automation and IT products with immediate effect. Countries covered by the agreement include Namibia, Zambia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Angola, Swaziland, Lesotho, Malawi and Mozambique.
Kruger will be reporting to Tiens Lange, group hardware manager.
“With the formation of the new division we require a manager that has strong leadership skills and who had a keen understanding of the products within the portfolio, as well as one who can take the brand effectively to the channel. With Kruger’s previous experience we believe he will be an asset to the Comztek team,” says Lange.
The products that form part of the Samsung Electronics portfolio include notebooks, netbooks, printers, consumables, monitors, large-format displays, hotel TVs and thin clients.
Kruger brings with him both sales and technical experience in the environment of office automation products, and will be tasked with promoting the Samsung product portfolio, growing the reseller base, and ensuring that customers continue to benefit from the value-added distribution services of Comztek.
