Energy management specialist Schneider Electric has secured purchase orders totalling R101-million from First Quantum Minerals’ Kansanshi smelter project and the Sentinel Greenfields project in Zambia.
The Kansanshi site is located 15km north of the town of Solwezi and the Sentinel site can be found approximately 150km west of the same town.
The scope includes 16 33kV F400 panels, 26 33kV DFN7 panels, 169 MCSet panels as well as 27 Motorpact panels and 35 Altivar 1200 medium voltage variable speed drives.
