JDA Software Group, The Supply Chain Company, has announced that Massdiscounters has completed its implementation of JDA Demand and JDA Fulfillment using JDA Cloud Perform.
Massdiscounters operates DionWired and Game – promotionally driven discount retailers of predominantly general merchandise and non-perishable groceries for home, leisure and business use.
It is a subsidiary of the JSE listed Massmart Holdings. Massmart if Africa’s second largest distributor of consumer goods, the leading retailer of general merchandise, liquor and home improvement equipment and supplies, and the leading wholesaler of basic foods. The company’s goal is to decrease its dependency on legacy systems and move towards a leaner overall supply chain process.
Massdiscounters uses JDA’s demand and fulfillment solutions to improve and leverage its supply chain production planning and execution processes, ensure more accurate statistical forecasting, reduce overstocks and inventory, gain central inventory visibility and rely on one centralised solution to drive a leaner overall supply chain process.
The solutions support 5,8-million demand forecast units, and is fully integrated with Massdiscounter’s legacy ERP systems.
Massdiscounters also anticipates increased operational stability and the improvement of application support through the use of JDA Cloud Services. The JDA Services team partnered with Massdiscounters to stabilise the entire system, ensure enhanced batch process performance and certify that all deliverables are JDA-compliant. The system is now ready for future planned implementations of JDA solutions.
In addition to JDA Demand and JDA Fulfillment using JDA Cloud Perform, Massdiscounters has already implemented: JDA Intactix Knowledge Base, JDA Space Planning, and JDA Allocation.
