NEC Display Solutions Europe has unveiled the MultiSync EA294WMi, an LED backlit display, boasting a future-ready design, extended input options and rich features perfectly designed to meet the demands of the modern office.
The NEC MultiSync EA294WMi features an extremely thin 29-inch LED backlight panel with IPS technology. Due to the 2560 x 1080 resolution and 21:9 aspect ratio, this new display is an excellent alternative for a dual screen set up, equivalent to two 19-inch conventional screens.
“Multi-displays are increasingly common into today’s modern offices, but this can be expensive and complicated to set up,” says Birgit Sommerer, product line manager at NEC Display Solutions Europe.
“The ultra-modern and slim design of the EA294WMi perfectly suits the modern office and combines a wide range of setup, connectivity and connection options to provide a seamless and integrated workspace.”
New sensor technologies with Ambient Light and Human Sensors ensure minimum power consumption and perfect working conditions from the EA294WMi, augmented by the improved ergonomics provided by 130mm height adjustability.
The modern and slim display incorporates a broad range of connectivity options with up to seven different inputs – DisplayPort, HDMI/MHL, two DVI-D and two VGA. The new Mobile High-Definition Link (MHL) enables users to connect smartphone directly to the display.
Integrated speakers, headphone jack and USB Hub complete the feature set, providing excellent options for office communication.
NEC is also proud to announce that the EA294WMi – and its new sister display, the EA244WMi – are the first desktop models to meet the new TCO Certified Edge Displays 1.2 criteria, thanks to the perfect balance of ergonomic design and eco-friendly credentials.
This means that, not only do they meet all the requirements for normal TCO Certified for their product category, but excel at the forefront of social responsibility.
“TCO Certified Edge Displays is a first of its kind; a certification program offering recognition to those electronics brands that offer truly cutting edge solutions to the market in the areas of sustainability,” says Stephen Fuller, business area manager for Displays at TCO Development.
“We believe these two NEC EA Series desktop displays exemplify that concept and are adaptable to many different users and environments.”
