Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, unveiled the Big Data Storage System OceanStor N9000.
Based on the innovative concept of “X-in-One”, Huawei OceanStor N9000 converges storage, analysis, and archive, and especially adopts a new generation of Scale-out architecture to realise lifecycle management, and help customers address big data challenges confidently.
As the wide application of BYOD technology grows, data also grows explosively, which not only challenges better performance and capacity for storage systems, but also requires storage systems with high speed data research and analysis capability to gain more valuable information. At the same time, hot data archiving needs more simple and cost efficient storage solution.
Huawei OceanStor N9000 is the first storage system to converge storage, analysis, and archive, which avoids the data loading, transfer among devices, and realises an entire lifecycle of “X-in-one” management. Huawei OceanStor N9000 adopts Scale-out clustered architecture, which supports elastic expansion from 3 nodes to 288 nodes, and the capacity of a single file system can be extended to 40PB without interruption.
As an industry leading next-generation storage solution, Huawei OceanStor N9000 with its 5,000,000 OPS cutting-edge performance and over 170GB total bandwidth, readily meets the requirements for high performance computing(HPC), genetic research , media edition, satellite mapping, centralised storage of data centre, internet operations and so on Big Data application.
“Huawei Storage adopts the idea of Intelligence on Demand, Convergence for Future to help customers deal with unpredicted storage system risks cased by explosive data,” says Ning Jing, the mrketing minister of Huawei storage product line.
“Hence, we proposed the X-in-One concept on N9000, which realises data transfer in a closed storage system instead of among different storage systems, resulting in a simpler and more intelligent system for customers.
