Bytes Document Solutions (BDS) has launched the new Xerox Colour C75 Press and J75 Press at the Africa Print Cape Town Regional Expo, which took place from 29 to 30 May at the Cape Town ICC.
The company also showcased the Xerox Colour 1000 press, XC550 digital colour press and D125 Copier Printer Pro.
With the growth of colour pages still a sweet spot for printers, Xerox’s new digital presses, the Xerox Colour C75 and J75, make it easier to capture more lucrative jobs, ranging from photo books and brochures to direct-mail pieces and catalogues.
“The Cape Town road show gave us a huge opportunity to showcase our innovative printing business solutions,” says Tanya Moodley, marketing director at Bytes Document Solutions.
“The Xerox 1000 attracted interest from quick printers, commercial printers and creative agencies and was a huge hit. There was also a steady flow of visitors to our stand for the newly launched C75 digital colour press. We have some very strong prospects lined up.”
The Xerox Colour C75 Press makes it easy to start, or expand, a digital printing business. It can run up to 75ppm on uncoated stocks and up to 51ppm on 177gsm to 300 gsm coated – opening up new opportunities to produce more profitable jobs. The press’s advanced scanning and copying features provide workflow efficiencies, a plus for businesses entering the digital marketplace.
Optional mobile and cloud solutions offer printers new ways to do business, as jobs can be submitted and printed securely from smartphones, tablets, laptops or desktops.
“The new Xerox Colour J75 press is geared for various production environments, including in-plant operations, quick printers, commercial printers. The press’s productivity features and media handling will appeal to both seasoned digital professionals and those entering the market,” says Paul Haglich, marketing manager for production systems at Bytes Document Solutions.
For commercial print shops producing high-volume, high-value applications, the Xerox Colour J75 offers additional productivity, running all paper stocks, including heavyweight up to 300gsm, at full rated speed – 75 pages per minute (ppm). It can easily match corporate and industry colours with Xerox’s Automated Colour Quality Suite (ACQS).
With ACQS’ inline spectrophotometer and colour management tools, accurate, reliable colour can be achieved with minimal operator involvement.
With flexible workflow, feeding and finishing and a clear toner station that enables flood or spot coating “on the fly”, the X1000 digital colour press easily meets the stringent demands of the professional commercial printer.
The press features an even wider colour gamut that can produce vibrant images with smooth sweeps that command – and hold – attention. Running all substrate weights at rated speeds of 100 ppm, the press delivers one of the widest ranges of media handling, from a light weight 55gsm to a hefty 350gsm.
The company’s newest series of light production devices, the Xerox D95/D110/D125 Copier/Printer and D110/D125 Printer, delivers sharp black-and-white image quality with speed and efficiency.
Built to handle the demands of print-intensive environments, the devices make it easy for educators to create curriculum materials, student directories, course packs and bound materials.
Productivity can be increased with archiving and stamping software allowing legal, insurance and healthcare users to store documents electronically and guarantee their authenticity with numerical markings.
In the print-for-pay market, commercial, quick and franchise, printers can meet tight turnaround times and offer more applications and services, like newsletters, on-demand book publishing and customised catalogues.
The copier/printer models are available in speeds of 95ppm, 110ppm and 125ppm, while the D110/D125 Printers are available in speeds of 110ppm and 125ppm, which is suitable for the transactional print environment.
The high-performance Xerox Colour 550 press is a light production/multifunction printer that is best suited for graphic arts, pay-for-print, commercial print and corporate environments.
It copies and prints with incredible colour control up to 2400 x 2400 dpi resolution. It also can fax, as well as scan at high speed – in colour or monochrome – to PC, USB or e-mail. Numerous finishing and colour server options make it flexible to fit your unique needs, and grow along with a business.
The next Africa Print Expo will take place in Johannesburg at the Sandton Convention Centre from 21 to 23 August 2013.
