Toyota Tsusho Africa (TTAF) has successfully completed the implementation of Sage VIP’s Premier Payroll product in four African countries – Malawi, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe. TTAF is a subsidiary of the Toyota Tsusho Corporation, which is one of the 18 Toyota Group companies.
“Sage VIP’s Premier Payroll was the perfect solution for us as a business in Africa, which is continuously growing,” says Adrian Stelzer, assistant GM (Distributor HR) at TTAF.
“The payroll system is easy to use, robust and allows for customisation to accommodate the statutory legislation in each country of operation. Further to this, the system caters for the standardisation of information between offices and it can successfully integrate with our various accounting systems and IT platforms,” says Stelzer.
According to Stelzer, implementation is running smoothly and they are already experiencing the product’s benefits.
“The support and one-on-one training by the Sage VIP consultants is invaluable, especially in dealing with each country’s regulations impacting on payroll. The centralised VIP Africa call-centre helpdesk in Pretoria also provides excellent service.”
“We chose Sage VIP as a solution provider for our specific payroll needs in Africa as they are well represented in South Africa, are growing significantly in Africa and have an in-depth knowledge of the industry. Their products are cost effective, user friendly and being a modular package, the solution is easy to upgrade into a full HRIS system,” says Stelzer.
“Sage VIP’s Premier Payroll is the ideal end-to-end solution for any business or corporate organisation in Africa, requiring flexible, easy to use, reliable software. The feature-richness of our software also allows for companies to manage payroll costs and human capital more effectively,” says Gerhard Hartman, Head of the Africa Division at Sage VIP.
“At Sage VIP, we pride ourselves in following a detailed project implementation approach with set deliverables and TTAF’s roll-out was no different.
“The implementation of the project started in April 2012 with a workshop in Gauteng, involving all the relevant stakeholders. At this session, we completed a needs analysis and a preliminary set-up per country, trained all of the 16 operators and determined a detailed project timeline for each country’s roll-out,” says Hartman.
TTAF plans to roll-out Sage VIP Premier Payroll to three more countries in Africa (Angola, Kenya and Mauritius) by the end of 2013. The roll-out of the product in each country will be followed by the implementation of the add-on modules, employee self-service and business intelligence.
“A partnership with Sage VIP is the obvious choice for a multi-national company like TTAF, expanding into Africa. Our company has a good reputation when it comes to customer service and support, an in depth knowledge on Africa countries’ statutory legislation and a well-established partner network, providing local support,” concludes Hartman.
