Network infrastructure specialist, Alpine Communications, has become Aruba Networks’ first platinum partner on the African continent.
It received this recognition after recruiting 15 new customers across the retail, legal and education sectors in just nine months, a factor that Aruba’s country manager for Sub-Saharan Africa, Matthew Barker, puts down to the deeply personal relationships it maintains with its customers.
“Alpine’s passion and ability to drive new markets, new revenue streams and establish relationships with new customers is unrivalled,” says Barker. “The team has truly invested in Aruba’s vision and technologies – and they are able to articulate that to clients in a wide variety of sectors.”
Alpine’s MD, Jason Kozinsky, believes its massive success in achieving platinum status so quickly is founded on the quality and uniqueness of the Aruba technology.
“It shows how far wireless network technology has come, particularly in terms of first-rate security standards, and in delivering speed and performance to users that are as good or even better than wired infrastructure,” says Kozinsky.
Aruba has made significant inroads in Africa in just two years – now focusing on all major territories across the continent via a strong partnership network. Teams based in South Africa, Egypt and France direct the African strategy.
Aruba’s MOVE architecture is designed to assist enterprises and service providers with their indoor and outdoor, wireless and wired, remote access and BYOD challenges. The company delivers a broad portfolio of network access and management systems along with mobile device and application management solutions.
According to Barker, client engagements are increasing as businesses experience the “eye-opening” moment of realising that wireless can be the primary method of connectivity.
“A wireless network should be as secure as any wired network, and if you can combine that with true scalability and ease of use, you have an architecture that customers will really value,” he explains.
