CA Southern Africa has announced the release of significant product innovations aimed at performance enhancement in the mainframe environment.

CA Cross-Enterprise Application Performance Management 3.0 (CA CE APM) helps IT administrators achieve greater reliability for mainframe applications, so companies can take steps to avoid costly outages of applications due to poor performance.

It allows non application-centric employees to identify and isolate performance problems more quickly by monitoring health metrics of critical application components.

The new version offers enhanced dashboards and reduced time-to-value with alerting, which was previously configured on the mainframe, now automatically delivered to the application performance management dashboards.

In addition, CA announced new versions of solutions that expand customers’ use of resources and improve performance: CA Database Management for DB2 V17, which offers enhanced exploitation of DB2 10 and CA Database Management for IMS V16, which offers expanded support for IMS 13.

“This announcement exhibits the value CA Technologies brings to customers who internationally are already reporting significant performance gains,” says CA Southern Africa’s executive responsible for mainframe initiatives, Gordon Hayden.
