Rectron and Mustek have announced their appointment as Microsoft Volume Licensing (VL) distributors.
Microsoft Volume Licensing is a cost-effective, flexible, and manageable way to acquire Microsoft software and cloud services. Microsoft offers several Volume Licensing programs, each tailored to the needs of different sizes of businesses and types of organisations.
The latest distribution appointment represents an increase in Microsoft solutions offered by the Mustek Group, which already carries Microsoft’s Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), COEM and Full Packaged Product (FPP) software agreements.
The group’s Microsoft lead, Elaine Wang says: “This appointment is a result of our long standing relationship with Microsoft, it aligns with our strategy to build relationships and to enable us to become a stronger value added distributor and solutions partner to our resellers.
“We will enter a new era of business transformation in ICT with this appointment,” she adds. “This partnership will enable us to empower resellers by enhancing their value proposition, and facilitating new business opportunities.”
Tracey Newman, SMB channel sales manager at Microsoft, comments: “The group was an obvious choice for us, along with their strong presence and breadth within the channel, they have for many years been a leader in providing Microsoft solutions to the broad based South African channel.
“Moreover, their appointment represents a renewed focus and investment by Microsoft into the broader reseller channel. We are very excited to take this journey of identifying untapped opportunities together with our distributors and their resellers. We look forward to taking our business to the next level.”
