Microsoft’s Office for Android is available on the Google Play store in South Africa from today.
The app is available at no extra charge for Office 365 subscribers, who can now use and share all of their Office documents on a variety of smartphone platforms: Windows Phone, iPhone or Android phones.
Office Mobile is the official companion to Microsoft Office.
Users can make edits or add comments to a document, and the formatting and layout remain intact.
Office Mobile has been optimised for the small screen. When reviewing Word documents, the Resume Reading feature takes users to the exact point in the document where they left off on their PC. The new Slide
Navigator lets them browse through PowerPoint presentations fast while Speaker Notes help them practice on the run.
Users can review comments in Word and Excel documents on their phone and add their own, then save the file back to SkyDrive or SkyDrive Pro – or send it as an email attachment.
