South Africa’s young designers are being given an opportunity to showcase their creative skills by entering the design competition, Skin our Headies.

Participating designers are given free rein to express themselves and bring the fresh bold style of The Kleek to life – and stand a chance to have their illustration featured on sets of funky headphones.

The Kleek, a mobile music streaming service that has been made exclusively available to Samsung smartphone users, offers music lovers the chance to enjoy the latest local and international hits at their fingertips.
Taking The Kleek brand into exciting new territory, Samsung together with The Kleek, are launching an innovative challenge that presents designers with the opportunity to create designs that will be considered for printing onto an exclusive headsets.

The challenge offers designers and illustrators the chance to fast track their creative status by submitting designs via an application in Samsung Mobile SA and The Kleek’s Facebook pages.

Once entries are submitted, brand fans and lovers of design are able to vote for their favourites, share the designs with their friends and comment – taking the content viral through social media. Through Springleap’s unique app, all interactions are viewable across different platforms and pages at the same time, generating exposure for the designers and engaging The Kleek’s fans.

As well as the valuable exposure, the winners also stand to share in R35 000 of prize money and Samsung Smartphones, which are up for grabs.

The challenge will run until 13 October 2013. The winners will be announced before 31 October 2013.
