Decision-makers are aware that effective time and attendance management in business has significant impact on the bottom line. In South Africa, businesses are eager to gain insight and expert opinion on strategy – and want information directly from those in the know.

To meet this increasing need, Accsys has devised and now regularly runs an interactive forum, with round table discussions and presentations, to tackle relevant topics.

Accsys is a member of the Business Connexion Group (BCX) and national supplier of people management software and hardware solutions within the HR, payroll and time and attendance (T&A) space.

On 11 February 2014 the Company is scheduled to host and facilitate a forum at the Johannesburg Country Club focusing on T&A, biometrics and security in the 21st century.

Teryl Schroenn, CEO of Accsys, explains that training is one of the company’s core offerings. It provides direct training on products, e-learning and similar initiatives, but has utilised its expertise and experience to refine the interactive round table forums.

“The message that we continue to communicate to the market is that the profile of time and attendance has been elevated and is now very much at the top of the list of priorities for management in business. Access to resources and effective control over these resources is directly linked to return on investment,” says Schroenn.

Accsys’ CEO will preside over the event and will introduce the Company’s line-up of speakers, all of whom are well established and recognised within technology and business circles.

Speakers include Accsys’ own Dr Liam Terblanche, Eugene Vivier, senior manager at PricewaterhouseCooper, Walter Rautenbach from neaMetrics, Marius Coetzee from Ideco, Stephen Sekgobela from Coca-Cola, Peter Champion from Cashbuild and Adrian Schofield from Wits University.

The Accsys Interactive Forum offers a unique opportunity for businesses to reflect on the evolution of T&A and what can be expected in the immediate future.

Each speaker is given 20 minutes to present, after which time has been set aside for roundtable discussion followed by a feedback session.

Schroenn says Accsys has purposefully concentrated on creating an environment that is conducive to open, frank and meaningful discussion.

It is a forum that continues to provide the market with important, relevant and practical information that will help businesses better manage key areas of operation. “This can only add value,” Schroenn says.
