Sung Woo Han has been appointed as vice-president and MD of Samsung Electronics Southern Africa.
Han has been with Samsung for more than 16 years, and has worked sales, marketing and operations across much of the Middle East region. He was also previously vice-president of visual display at Samsung HQ.
“Samsung is facing an exciting era, where we are able to serve our local market with an unmatched range of products, expertise and service,” says Matthew Thackrah, deputy MD of Samsung Electronics South Africa.
“We are confident that under Han’s leadership we will deliver the right level of strategic, creative and technology solutions to our customers and that our presence in South Africa and neighbouring will further be strengthened. We welcome Han and believe that he will drive new growth and innovation for the organisation.”
Outgoing MD Maengdal Bae has contributed to the growth and development of Samsung South Africa over the past three years.
