There is a definite increase in interest in – and adoption of human resource, payroll and time & attendance solutions in Africa. One service provider has positioned itself to take advantage of the growing opportunity and has focused intensely on entrenching and expanding its operational footprint. The objective is not only to meet a need, but also set a new bar for service provision in Africa and redirect investment back into the South African economy.

The service provider referred to is Johannesburg-based Accsys, a member of the Business Connexion Group (BCX) and national supplier of people management software and hardware solutions within the HR, payroll and time & attendance space.

The company’s operational footprint in Africa covers eighteen countries. Its client base stretches across fourteen of these countries and as an experienced operator of over 30 years, is tax-table ready for all areas it operates in.

Accsys has adopted a unique approach to engaging emerging markets on the continent and rather than merely establishing presence, the company utilises its base in South Africa to provide a service, as well as technical support and training.

“We are actively promoting South African expertise, technology and service and meeting a growing need for solutions that empower businesses across the continent,” says Teryl Schroenn, CEO of Accsys.

Schroenn says there is a strong demand for time and attendance and payroll solutions in Africa and the company has invested extensively in establishing a reliable reseller network to ensure proactive service and product supply to clients.

The increasing interest in business management solutions in Africa is fuelled by the rising number of startup ventures in key regions, including East Africa, and the emergence of small-to-medium sized companies hoping to capitalise on trends like cloud services, big data analytics and mobility, amongst others.

Through this Network, businesses are secured a place in the supply chain and have access to products manufactured in South Africa, with the end-user in mind and the opportunity to leverage off the very best training and services available.

“The reseller program is very well established and firmly in place, allowing new clients and existing businesses the opportunity to acquire the very best technology available, but also expose their products and services to the channel and thereby generate leads,” continues Schroenn.

Based on the company’s own experience and continued research into the continent, Accsys believes the requirements for technology that offers functionality, automation and benefits associated with sourcing services and modules across a single platform, will only increase.
