Tyco Retail Solutions recently announced the availability of TrueVUE 5.0, the latest version of its flagship retail software suite and an extension of its TrueVUE Retail Platform. With this new release, customers can now receive mobile reports via iOS devices to monitor key store performance metrics anywhere, anytime.

“Access to key metrics empowers retail associates to better manage operations and enhance shopper experience,” says Mark Simpson, Sales Leader for Tyco Retail Solutions South Africa.

The TrueVUE app is available in Apple App Stores, and provides access to Tyco Retail Solutions’ Loss Prevention, Traffic and Inventory metrics from any iPhone, iPad or iPod touch device. By arming retail field and store level associates with key data metrics on demand, they are empowered to make better decisions, fuelling operational improvements.

According to Leslie Hand, Research Director, IDC Retail Insights, “Mobile technologies are creating new collaboration opportunities and driving innovation across the entire retail and manufacturing supply chain. In addition to being a new means of data collection, mobile applications and smart devices will also support new processes as well as enable extension of many existing core processes and functions.”

The TrueVUE software suite provides actionable insights into retail inventory, traffic and loss prevention, and integrates with existing retail systems and IT infrastructures. Built to scale up from a single location to an entire retail enterprise, the TrueVUE software suite allows customers to add new capabilities as the business requires, and uses a common integration approach to lower operating and ownership costs.

With this new release, Tyco Retail Solutions is leveraging the power of mobile technology to further enhance its flagship software suite and provide real-time inventory, traffic and loss prevention insight, on the store floor, to improve store operations, support omni-channel retailing and better meet the needs of today’s shoppers.

“We understand the power of mobile technology today, and its influence on the retail store environment. With the mobile capabilities in TrueVUE 5.0, we are providing store personnel with immediate access to critical store data, eliminating the need to leave the sales floor or wait for updated information in order to take action.

“This seamless integration enables on-demand decision making, which better equips store associates to meet the needs of their customers,” says Simpson. “We will continue to enhance our offering with cutting edge technology as the retail environment evolves, customers’ demands increase, and the store remains central to the success of the retail industry.”
