UCS Solutions has become the first South African company to be awarded the SAP Recognised Expertise in Retail certification. The newly launched certification aims to recognise the specialisation, competency and expertise of SAP Partners in the marketplace, and differentiate them from competitors. Certification is only awarded to SAP Partners with proven competencies in selected solutions or industries.
“This certification is recognition from SAP of the dominant position that UCS Solutions has carved out for itself in the SAP Retail space across southern Africa,” says Reg Barry, who heads up the business unit providing delivery of SAP projects and RunSAP support to clients.
“Our ReadytoRetail template is the prime example of our leadership – a pre-configured, retail-specific instance of SAP All-in-One that is fully SAP-certified, and applies retail best practices adapted for local conditions.”
The SAP Recognised Expertise in Retail certification is valid for two years, and complements UCS Solutions’ long list of SAP awards and certifications. Inter alia, the company is a SAP Gold value-added reseller and is certified in RunSAP implementation, PCoE, HANA, Sybase/ Mobile, Business Objects and Cloud.
It was named Local Systems Integrator of the Year for 2013 by SAP Africa, the latest in a string of awards from SAP over the years.
This new certification means that UCS Solutions will be listed in the Directory for SAP Partners with Recognised Expertise and SAP will endorse UCS Solutions for applicable tenders/RFPs.
“This certification effectively differentiates us from competitors, and shows the market how our record of excellence has been objectively assessed and recognised,” Barry concludes.
