The router incorporates an ADSL uplink interface along with four Local Area Network (LAN) ports for downlink in addition to wireless.
This means that the ADSL line can be shared across four PCs and the wireless function can be switched on and off as required. WiFi Protected Setup (WPS) ensures a completely secure wireless network, and the router supports multiple SSID, WEP, TKIP, WPA 1.0 and WPA 2.0 encryption for added security.
“In addition to these features, the router incorporates a USB port which can be used to connect the device to network storage if a 3G failover function is not required. Measuring 7cm by 15,5cm, 7,5cm thick and weighing 380g, the HG532s is also compact enough to fit into most spaces in the home or office,” Seedat concludes.
