Cell C has selected the TNS Nextgen portfolio of financial clearing and settlement services, including IOTRONT Inter-Operator Tariff (IOT) discount management, to address their roaming needs. The selection of TNS Nextgen for financial clearing and settlement services was driven by Cell C’s business needs to utilise solutions that enhance transparency and insight into the mobile roaming ecosystem. By selecting TNS Nextgen financial settlement solutions, Cell C expects to lower their inter-carrier outstanding debts and increase cash flow to their growing business in South Africa.
Cell C required a replacement to their existing solution for managing roaming partner agreements and selected the TNS Nextgen IOTRON discount agreement management system for their business. This selection was made after extensive analysis concluded that they could provide better end-to-end agreement management and increase IOT discount profitability by employing IOTRON.
Jannie Van Niekerk, head of International Roaming at Cell C, comments: “The migration process was smooth and already we are seeing significant improvements in the way aged debt is handled, which is beneficial to our cash flow. IOT discount agreement management is a significant challenge for many operators; the TNS Nextgen IOTRON tool is proving to be a valuable asset for us by significantly reducing the manual workload and helping to improve profitability.”
“We are delighted to be delivering measurable improvements in timely collection of roaming revenue and in reduction of historic debt positions,” says Miguel Calvo, chief commercial officer, at TNS Nextgen. “Collections performance also extends to IOT discount payments, so the integration of our FCH and IOTRON systems is a strong combination for IOT management, as well as settlement.”
TNS Nextgen is dedicated to building the most innovative roaming and clearing platform for the needs of today and tomorrow and to being a valuable partner for Cell C for many years to come.
