Net1 Mobile Solutions (N1MS) has rolled out its Umoya Manje promotion, which will run until 31 December 2014. There is no participation fee and users become eligible to win their share of R750 000 in cash prizes by using the service during this time.

Umoya Manje is a South African service that literally translates to “Airtime Now”. It uses AVS technology and provides prepaid services to more than 4-million South Africans. Seamless delivery through the mobile channel has enhanced the way in which the vast majority of previously un-banked and under banked South Africans access services, such as prepaid airtime and electricity.

Umoya Manje allows customers to purchase pre-paid airtime, while Power Manje enables customers to purchase pre-paid electricity. “Both services are available directly from a customer’s mobile phone, offering the ultimate in convenience to millions of people who would otherwise have to travel far distances to purchase airtime and electricity – both necessities to keep people connected, safe and happy during the festive period,” adds Belamant.

“Our customers have been notified via SMS and on the Umoya Manje USSD menu about the competition and we are sure that they are going to be excited,” says Belamant. “The winners are randomly selected, and their prize will be paid directly into the user’s account via EFT for them to spend as they please. It’s our way of giving back to our valued customers”.
