Users can now leverage the best in performance and scalability with the new Dell Precision workstation range from distributor Drive Control Corporation (DCC).
Featuring one advanced tower workstation, two premium tower workstations and one rack workstation model, all of which can be customised according to specific user requirements, the Dell Precision range delivers the ultimate workstation computer solution.

“Dell’s Precision desktop range is ideal for compute-intensive workloads, including new Intel Xeon E5-2600 v3 and E5-1600 v3 Haswell Central Processing Units (CPUs) with up to 18 cores and up to 1Tb of 2133Mhz DDR4 memory to deliver extreme performance.

With a variety of different models available, these workstations are ideal for a number of different markets, including graphic design and video rendering, architectural and computer-aided design purposes, the medical industry, geographical surveyors and other specialised applications,” says George Lodewick, Dell Commercial Product Specialist at DCC.

The Precision Tower 5810XL is suited to resource and graphics intensive workloads. It features Dell Precision Optimiser v 2.0 for enhanced application performance and up to 256Gb of quad-channel Random Access Memory (RAM) to enable users to handle large data sets with ease.

The Precision Tower 7810XL and 7910XL offer outstanding productivity, performance and scalability with single or dual processors to help process multiple complex tasks quickly. Using dual processors, these workstations deliver twice the memory bandwidth and Central Processing Unit (CPU) cores, ideal for intensive multi-threaded applications. Both models also feature Dell Precision Optimiser 2.0 to automatically tune application settings for optimal performance.

The 7810XL features up to 256Gb RAM with optional 12 Gigabits per second (Gb/s) Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIe) Serial Advanced Technology Attachment (SATA)/Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) controllers to facilitate data striping and mirroring for increased performance and data availability. The 7910XL enables up to 1TB of RAM with integrated 12Gb/s SATA/SAS controller. Both workstations also incorporate Exclusive Reliable Memory Technology, which maximises uptime by eliminating virtually all memory errors for greater stability.

“On all three tower models, the Intel CAS-W storage option offers near-solid state performance at a significantly reduced cost compared to full Solid State Drives (SSD), while optional PCIe SSD drives deliver superb reads throughput, exceptional reliability and remarkable power efficiency,” Lodewick adds.

Dell’s Precision Rack 7910XL offers security and flexibility in remote or virtualised workstation environments, enabling flexible deployments for one-to-one or one-to-many environments. It offers the same power and scalability as the Tower 7910XL with the additional convenience of a slim 2U design, and features Dell OpenManage portfolio with Dell Integrated Remote and Lifecycle Access Controllers as well as exclusive Reliable Memory Technology.

“Aside from superior performance and flexibility, all Dell Precision workstations also offer Independent Software Vendor (ISV) Certifications for peace of mind that professional software applications will run as designed, making them ideal for professional applications,” Lodewick concludes.

The Dell Precision workstation range is configured to order and is available immediately from selected resellers. Pricing varies according to configuration and specifications selected.
